Senior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Duties

- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory reporting requirements.

- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all accounts, including debits and credits.

- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Utilize QuickBooks for efficient financial management.

- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain data integrity.

- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that drive business strategies.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial activities.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within a finance department.

- Strong proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.

- In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting standards, including IFRS.

- Demonstrated ability to manage payroll processes effectively.

- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
