Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
The Senior Accountant will support the accounting operations for the Seven Seas Water Division. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and is located in Tampa, FL. The Senior Accountant responsibilities include:
- Preparation of month end close journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to support the financial close process in compliance with US GAAP
- Analyze financial results and conduct variance analysis of actuals vs budget
- Assist in researching accounting policies and compliance as necessary
- Support the annual audit with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Problem solving and independent decision making regarding accounting and reconciliation functions.
- Excellent computer skills, preferably with a market leading ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Edwards, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross functionally with all teams.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP with experience in accounting research
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work well with team members and other departments at all levels within the organization
- Advanced Excel skills
- Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, high growth business environment- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA preferred
- Public accounting experience required. Big Four experience preferred
