The Security Operations Center (SOC) Coordinator (II) will oversee the quality of customer service and work across the Missouri or Illinois SOC to provide effective physical security monitoring operations and ensure all processes and procedures are followed by SOC teams. The Security Operations Center Coordinator (II) function is to ensure the teams are providing the best customer service possible to Ameren personnel. The Security Operations Center Coordinator (II) will monitor the work performed, make recommendations for efficiencies, report any challenges, concerns, or problems.
- Maintain technical competency of all tools currently operational in the SOC and of all work instructions, processes, and procedures used by personnel in the SOC.
- Assist in the creation of detailed, accurate and timely reports for management as required.
- Assist in the management of incidents to ensure that they are addressed properly and in a timely manner.
- Update and maintain the SOC list of urgent items, and sites that require special attention.
- Oversee the monitoring of physical security system alarms to include access control systems, digital video surveillance systems, CCTV, building security, building automation, and physical intrusion detection systems professionally to ensure a proper and timely response is initiated.
- Perform system checks on equipment & software applications recognize and correct minor problems and accurately report concerns and problems with equipment to customers, business partners, vendors, Corporate Security personnel and/or SOC management.
- Review necessary reports for accuracy to include SOC Analyst statistics including nuisance alarm resolution actions, FM&C work requests, shift reports, and service list entries.
- Monitor and maintain all forms of communication: IP, analog, and satellite telephones, as well as hand held radios. Report all equipment anomalies immediately for repair, including SOC equipment, as well as facility, and field equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members to ensure understanding of processes and SOC procedures.
- Respond to Protected areas to investigate NERC concerns, fire, and various building system alarms.
- Prepare NERC Violation Determination sheets.
- Prepare and distribute the morning security update, IR summaries, and security equipment service list.
- Assist with new site walk-down testing. Provide Corporate Security feedback on installation projects as a lessons learned analysis to improve processes.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. One or more years' experience with security central station, emergency services dispatch, or law enforcement or military experience required. Administrative experience with AMAG and video intrusion alarm response is preferred. Understanding of physical security and event management preferred. Understanding of physical security and troubleshooting security devices preferred. Advanced level knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
