Role Overview

Reporting to the Team Lead, Infrastructure Security, Teck is seeking a skilled and proactive Security Operations Analyst to support and improve our cybersecurity posture. This role requires strong expertise in deploying, managing, and continuously improving platforms that enable our vulnerability management and cyber defense programs.

This is an initial 12-month contract with possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and handle cybersecurity platforms and tools, including: security log ingestion, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, endpoint detection and response (EDR) / endpoint protection platform (EPP), email security solutions, vulnerability discovery and assessment platform

- Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to implement and maintain security solutions

- Continuously improve operational security processes and infrastructure

- Stay ahead and knowledgeable of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years)

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address sophisticated security challenges

- Experience working in Operational Technology (OT) environments is an asset

- Broad experience across multiple security domains, including: Security monitoring and log analysis, Vulnerability management & Incident detection and response

- Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
