The Operational Security (OPSEC) Specialist position is responsible for conducting technical security activities within EverLine’s Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) architectures. This includes supporting security operations in a 24/7/365 production environment, such as supporting the Security Operations Center, HelpDesk, and SecurityDesk functions. Activities may involve incident response, change management, security policy and procedure maintenance and implementation, coordinating security training, meeting regulatory compliance, and supporting audits. The position requires an understanding of cyber, physical, and human security as it relates to the US critical infrastructure and life-safety critical environments.
- Monitoring and supporting the OT Security Operations Center (SOC), Tier 1
- Responding to anomalies, incidents, and conducting business continuity efforts
- Engaging with the IT SOC and IT HelpDesk
- Supporting IT and OT vulnerability assessments
- Maintaining documented corporate security policies and procedures
- Supporting federal inspections and third-party audits
- Supporting patching and security update activities on the IT network
- Supporting and maintaining IT network devices
- Managing corporate security education using KnowBe4, including conducting training and testing campaigns
- Assisting in developing or evolving services to meet changing threat landscape and regulatory environment.
Knowledge, Skills, abilities, and Other Personal Characteristics:
- Knowledge of accepted cyber security practices in the IT and OT environments
- Knowledge of the unique challenges and safety considerations of the OT environment.

- High school diploma or GED required
- Candidate should possess 2 to 5 years' experience in IT and cybersecurity.
- Experience in the energy industry, including an understanding of the operational environment and supporting technology.
- Knowledge and understanding of critical systems and operational risk/impact analysis.
- Strong expertise in cyber, physical, and human threats and vulnerabilities as they pertain to operational environments.
- Pass criminal and personal background check.
The employee will work predominantly in an office environment, utilizing standard office and computing equipment. At times, the employee may be required to visit an operational location that requires following safety and PPE, such as FR clothing, hard hat, and boots. Less than 25% travel. Standard work hours.
If working remotely, the employee will be required to support video teleconferencing when applicable, as well as attend teleconference meetings originating in other time zones, which may occur outside normal working hours. The employee will interface with remote employees, requiring reliance on email and phone communications, as well as ability to maintain productivity while working autonomously.
