Position Summary
Avenir Energy is seeking a reliable and hard-working
Service Helperto join our team. In this role, you’ll assist Service Technicians with propane tank installations and general on-site work, as well as support daily yard operations such as cylinder filling, site maintenance, and inventory handling. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, learning new skills, and contributing to a team in a fast-paced environment.
This is a
seasonal role with a projected end date of March 27, 2026.Seasonal employees are eligible for the benefits outlined above.
Key Responsibilities
- Tank Installation Support: Assist Service Technicians with propane tank installations, trenching, and setup tasks
- Cylinder Filling: Safely fill propane cylinders and assist customers as needed
- Tank Loading: Help load and unload tanks and equipment onto trucks
- Yard & Site Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, warehouse, and buildings. This includes grass cutting, snow shoveling, and general upkeep
- Inventory Support: Receive deliveries, organize product, and support inventory counts
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly and helpful service to customers visiting the yard
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training including WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, Forklift, and PTI 100-1 Propane Pump Attendant Certification
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with site staff and attend monthly team meetings
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using small tools and equipment (training provided)
- Customer Service: Positive attitude and willingness to assist customers and teammates
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Team Player: Works well independently and within a team environment
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license required
