Screw Machine Operator

QSMP is looking for someone to set up/run Acme Gridley, Brown and Sharp screw machines. Responsibilities include stocking up machines, making and inspecting parts. Assist lead techs with sharpening tooling, changing cams, gears and other machine specific parts.

Required Qualifications*

- Prior experience as a screw machine operator. (Ex: Acme Gridley, B&S, Davenport, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of speeds and feeds.

- Strong ability to use measuring tools. (Ex: micrometer, calipers, indicators)

- Strong understanding of production procedures and best practices.

- Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.

- Ability to read blueprints, manuals and handbooks.

Desired Qualifications*

- 2+ years of machining experience in a job shop environment - Technical certifications in precision machining

Physical Requirements*

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

- Must be able to be extremely accurate when working with their hands and arms

- Must be able to regularly walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch

- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or push up to 60 lbs.

Salary based on experience.

We offer full medical, dental & 401(k) with match. We have a fully climate controlled shop. Day or night shift available, 8 or 10 hour shifts available. Overtime eligible but not required.
