Project Scheduler

Location:

Primary Function:

As a member of a project team, the Project Scheduler will be responsible for the development and maintenance of schedules to ensure timely completion of projects and other cost control measures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

- Work with project management group to maintain project control documents

- Select appropriate Negotiation Template

- Issue Negotiation Schedule

- Issue Preliminary Project Schedule

- Coordinate project scheduling, tracking and forecasting to support project reporting

- Update Project Schedule from Negotiation Template

- Finalize Project Schedule and Manpower Requirements

- Collect weekly/monthly updates

- Provide special client requests i.e.: Progress curves and reports

- Provide exception reports to management and project team

- Issue “Redline” Schedule to client

- Issue other project control documents as needed

- Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in a construction environment is preferred.

Possess skills in the following areas:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Previous experience in scheduling electrical material preferred

- Prior experience with scheduling software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project

- Proficient in MS Office Suite

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and within a team on a variety of projects to meet project deadlines

- Excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements

- This position requires minimal physical effort.

- Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.

- Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)

- Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.

- May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
