POSITION SUMMARY:
The OT Systems Engineer (OTSE) is responsible for OT Data System design, implementation, upgrade, integration, operation, support and maintenance activities that include scripting (data analysis, display development, database configuration, verification, report development and documentation. Responsibilities also include managing the daily operations of the Targa OT Data Repository hardware, software systems, related process control systems, peripherals to ensure reliable communications and operations.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop and maintain design standards, templates and tools for the OT Data Systems
•Oversee several aspects the development, configuration, and deployment of SCADA Data software systems.
•Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Measurement, Gas, Commercial, and other Targa groups to ensure the OT Data System is being developed to established standards and meet the needs of the organization.
•Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the delivered solution working with the internal and external stakeholders.
•Evaluate and estimate support, service, and development requests.
•Design, develop and test delivered solutions working with SCADA/Automation/Measurement/Operations & Engineering/Business team members.
•Responsible for the technical integrity and efficiency of the delivered solution including but not limited to - data integration between 3rd party application, Measurement, Gas Control, gas quality and SCADA.
•Responsible for training internal and external groups on the usage of the OT Data Systems.
•Ensure compliance with all departmental and corporate policies and procedures.
•Work with project teams during all phases of a project to assure project objectives are met.
•Facilitate effective transitions into operations and assure on-going sustainability of systems.
•Participate in production support on-call rotation.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
•Position will require some travel (less than 40%)
•Support the OT Cyber Security Team with support for patching.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
•Design/analysis experience in telecommunication design.
•Design/analysis experience with software SCADA systems.
•Experience with Flowcal CFX, Wonderware 10.1, and Kepware.
•Recent experience with CygNet 8.5 -> above and FMS
•Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•SCADA Systems Design Engineering with 5+ years’ experience
•Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering from a in ABET accredited program or equivalent work experience and comparable business experience required.
•An understanding of the Natural Gas/Liquids pipeline operation and upstream/midstream/downstream business.
•Experience with technical documentation as it relates to workflow, operations and business processes.
•Experience with SQL, Industrial SQL, and/or PI.
•Strong scripting knowledge using C++, VBScript, .net framework
•Experience with data/RF wired/wireless network architectures and associated protocols i.e. TCP/UDP/IP, SNMP, etc.
•Experience with Network Routers/Switches/Firewalls and associated protocols.
•Strong working knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities for DCS (Honeywell Experion, Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800x, Foxboro) PLC, SCADA including HMI, RTUs - TotalFlow, Emerson Roc, Bristol ControlWave, Thermo Scientific and associated protocols. PLCs – Allen Bradley all models, General Electric all models and associated protocols (SLC, CIP, SRTP, Modbus, etc.).

•Endurance sufficient to maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift
