Sand Hauling Job Duties and Expectations
Energy Transportation is looking for safety-minded individuals to join our growing team. Sand Haulers will be required to safely and efficiently deliver sand from the loading facility to frac sites in WV, PA and Ohio. Compliance with all safety and DOT requirements, including Company and customer safety policies, is essential. The position will be paid by the hour versus by the load.
Primary Responsibilities
•Safe operation of tractor trailer commercial vehicle
•Safely drive loaded and empty tanker trucks of various sizes make/models, and configurations on various road conditions (paved, unpaved, narrow, US Routes, etc.)
•Comfortable driving on natural gas lease roads
•Efficiently plan routes for safe and timely deliveries
•Properly operate pumps and values for loading and unloading, both on and off the truck
•Conduct proper pre and post trip inspections
•Accurately complete all paperwork as required by company and customer, ensuring completion at end of shift
•Communicate regularly with Dispatch throughout the day reporting any delays presented, safety issues, route deviations, etc. before and after loading and unloading
•Maintain professionalism through working courteously with various supervisors, dispatchers, fellow coworkers, customers and the general public
•Follow all local, federal laws, as well as customer rules
•Maintains truck cleanliness and performs general maintenance on equipment as needed
•Other functions as directed by supervisor
Requirements
•Class CDL-A and valid medical card required
•Tanker Endorsement preferred
•Minimum of 2 years CLD experience required
•Oilfield experience preferred
•Must be able to proficiently drive CDL vehicles of various makes/models and sizes
•Ability to work 10-14 hour shifts and adapt to changing needs of fracing operations
•Lift approximately 20-75 lbs throughout the shift
•Pass pre-employment screens such as Drug & Alcohol tests
•Must demonstrate a safe driving record through MVR screening
•Must be able to safely drive tractor trailer loaded and unloaded with Sand
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language
•Calm and professional demeanor, in control of workload and able to handle multiple tasks and interruptions
•Ability to follow instructions and procedures properly
•Ability to effectively communicate throughout the day with dispatch and other stakeholders
•Ability to stay overnight as required (overnight stays minimal)
