Salesforce Developer (Experience Cloud Focus)

Role Description

UES is seeking a full-time, on-site Salesforce Developer with a focus on Experience Cloud in Chicago, IL. The Salesforce Developer will support the Director of Technology Solutions in the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions for energy and utility clients.

This role partners closely with technology and business stakeholders to build and maintain scalable, customer-facing portals, including rebate application portals, contractor and retailer tools, and self-service scheduling experiences. The Senior Salesforce Developer contributes to agile delivery, coordinates testing and releases, and ensures work moves efficiently from intake through deployment.

The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on Experience Cloud development experience, has delivered complex, multi-stream portal implementations, and is passionate about creating streamlined, role-based customer journeys that deliver tailored user experiences immediately upon login. This individual thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong attention to detail, and excels at working within small, cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions that support complex, external-facing business processes, such as customer application portals, find a contractor tools, and customer self-service scheduling for field service appointments

- Support the ongoing enhancement, performance, and stability of Experience Cloud implementations

- Build scalable, secure solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices

- Collaborate with backend and integration teams to ensure portal experiences align with underlying system workflows

- Anticipate edge cases, data dependencies, and user scenarios in complex portal implementations

- Continuously evaluate and improve portal usability, accessibility, and performance

- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives

- Participate in agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and retrospectives

- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to support ongoing enhancements

Qualifications

Required

- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience

- Certified Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant

- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I

- Certified Salesforce Administrator (Advanced Admin is a plus)

- Demonstrated experience designing and building application portals, contractor or retailer tools, or self-service scheduling solutions in Salesforce

- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, data models, and security

- Experience with integrations, APIs, and multi-system architectures

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments

OTHER

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

- Must be Authorized to work in US
