Position Summary
The Sales Representative is part of a high-performance Line Pipe and Coating Commercial team that manages existing Tenaris customer accounts while developing new business opportunities. The Sales Representative is motivated to achieve strong results and meet sales targets. The Sales Representative is responsible for the full commercial process, negotiating the sales of product and services, the offering process, account management and the order follow up. The Sales Representative upholds Tenaris’ values and standards.
Role and Responsibilities
The Sales Representative will own and fully manage a specific set of accounts, develop new business and be responsible for the following:
•Work collaboratively with the broader Sales team and Business Coordination team to ensure we are exceeding client requirements
•Accountable for full sales cycle from the initial offer and closing of the deal to claims management and mediating any collection issues.
•Develop, implement and maintain sales strategy for Tenaris assigned accounts
•Expand Tenaris business within existing accounts and new targets by prospecting, qualifying and closing opportunities based on sales strategy and regional market intelligence
•Development of forecast sales and achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly volume and revenue targets
•Monitor Tenaris performance, develop KPI’s, review with internal and external stakeholders and adjust direction, focus and sales initiatives as needed
•Understand Tenaris Line Pipe and Coating product and service portfolio and leverage this knowledge to satisfy client needs proactively
•Lead negotiations with customers including final offer presentation and authorizations
•Responsible for contract management including establishing contracts and ongoing contract maintenance
•Sales order initialization and customer purchase order acknowledgement
•Provide ongoing feedback from customers to leadership including reporting and analytics as required
•Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
•Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Skills, Education and Experience
•Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Business or Trades School
•2- 5 years of experience in a similar role
•Proven ability and previous experience in account management, account maintenance forecasting, contract management, negotiations, effectively working with internal and external customers
•SAP Experience would be considered an asset
•Technology savvy; ability to quickly understand internal systems and effectively utilize those for work
