Sales Project Coordinator

About This Job


Summary:

The Sales Project Coordinator will work with Sales Project Managers and Sales Managers, along with Production Control and Sales team members, as required, to develop a thorough understanding of customer job requirements, ensuring that project objectives are met, sales orders are properly processed for all job components, and ensure that all project material, delivery, quality, and technical requirements are clearly documented therein.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

· Issues sales orders and releases for shipping.

· Ensures all given objectives of the team are properly documented and approved.

Ensures the team’s objectives are consistent with the projects stated key success indicators and the specific objectives for each phase.
Identifies and works to remove barriers for successful completion of the overall project.
Develops and review project status and reports.

· Vigorously pursues the team’s objectives and participates in assembly of the product.


· Works within the project guidelines.


· Coordinates work with other departments/project teams.

· Reports progress of the work and forecast completion dates.

· Manages the practical details of the transfer, care, custody and control of the team’s product, including assembly and transfer of any required documentation.


· Facilitates communications as appropriate.

· Interfaces with customers to help resolve common technical problems and questions regarding our products and their operation.

· Serves as a liaison between the customer, Engineering, and Management to gain solutions to higher-level problems.

· Enters and issue RMA's as required for customer returns.

· Maintains database of customer calls and complaints, and of any recurring product failures or defects.

· Reports any recurring product failures or defects to Engineering, Management, and Quality.

· Knowledge of basic industrial concepts and terminology including electrical, paint and coatings, and piping.

· Ability to read and understanding technical drawings.


· Familiarity with material concepts and terminology.


Education and/or Experience:

· Entry-level training in Project Management, along with technology of the project.

· A bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline and 3-5 years of relevant experience (desired) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

· Experience working with an ERP system is desired.


Language Skills:

· Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.


· Good communication skills (verbal and written).


· Good reading comprehension.


Mathematical Skills:

Solid math foundation, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios and percentages, along with some basic algebraic and trigonometric calculations.
Ability to work with various measurements and their units, including but not limited to length/distance, weight/mass, volume, area, and velocity/speed.
Ability to work with both the U.S. (Imperial) and metric systems, and to convert between the two systems.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Most of the duties required of this position will be carried out in an office environment in which there is ample lighting, and the noise level and temperature are usually moderate.

· Some duties may require the employee to visit manufacturing and production areas where conditions may be different. Hearing protection is provided for use in areas where noise levels may be higher.
