SAGD Process Engineer
We are looking for a SAGD Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will thrive in their dynamic work environment by displaying a positive attitude and the flexibility necessary to manage multiple priorities and challenges. This is a 1 year contract.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for process assessment and optimization to debottleneck an upstream SAGD process plant
•Collaborate with the operations team on existing and new process equipment to increase plant equipment throughput
•Main role is to inspect and evaluate the current facilities throughput and with the support of operations and Project Manager bring forward all required engineering project to increase the CPF and field infrastructure designed capacity
•Maintain a focused approach in resolving various operational issues/bottlenecks for the reliable operation of the facility as well as ramp up
•Participate in daily operations meetings. Provide technical support for the operations group to troubleshoot operations
•Conduct facilities investigations and prepare necessary studies to confirm existing capacity and options for increasing capacity of process units
•Liaise with multi discipline engineers, external consultants and engineering contractors for basic and detailed engineering of Debottleneck projects
•Ensure design and project implementation conform with design intent, specifications and standard practices
•Maintain the integrity of the facility PSI information. Lead/participate in PSM activities (MOC, PHA/HAZOP, PSSR etc.)
•Assist in the development and review of all the standard process engineering deliverables like design basis, process design criteria, HMB, PFDs and P&IDs, among various others
•Develop/Review process simulations (HYSYS and other process simulators) and heat/material balance
•Ensure that process engineering deliverables are met in a timely fashion
•Provide support to the Project leadership for business and economic evaluations
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eligible for professional registration with APEGA
•Minimum of 5 years of process engineering site experience in SAGD environment. A combination of operations and EPC environment would be acceptable
•Previous experience in Inlet treating, de-oiling, water treatment, or steam generation will be considered an asset
•Excellent interpersonal skills matched with hands on approach to solving problems
•Working knowledge of all relevant codes, and standards
•Superior analytical, planning and execution capabilities and the ability to develop timely effective solutions
•Ability to work in an integrated team atmosphere but also can work independently
•Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail programs, document control and drawing management systems
•Commitment to the successful introduction of work processes; a safety-first culture; and adherence to Safe Work Practices and Corporate Policy
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Pay: $70.00-$100.00 per hour
