Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Process Engineer to support our aluminum extrusion, anodizing, paint and converting operations. This person will drive process improvements, reduce waste, enhance product quality, and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and EHS teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
•Analyze production processes and performance data to identify improvement opportunities in extrusion, anodizing, and paint lines.
•Lead and execute Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to reduce waste, increase yield, and optimize throughput.
•Investigate process deviations, quality issues, and equipment inefficiencies; develop and implement corrective actions.
•Standardize best practices by developing and updating process documentation and SOPs.
•Collaborate with operators and supervisors to implement lean manufacturing practices and process controls.
•Partner with EHS personnel to promote a safe working environment, assist in safety audits, and support compliance with environmental regulations.
•Monitor key process indicators and drive proactive adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
•Support new equipment installations, process trials, and scale-up of new products or changes.
•Train production staff on process changes and support development of training materials.
•Contribute to cross-functional problem-solving teams focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
•1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; metals, extrusion, or surface finishing preferred.
•Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; data-driven decision-making.
•Familiarity with EHS principles.
•Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
•Knowledge of aluminum extrusion, anodizing, or painting processes a strong plus.
