Promote and enforce safe behavior, safety policies, and procedures. Maintains recordkeeping for OSHA compliance. Completes training courses with new hires and completes training that is specific to a job. Is actively engaged with the hourly employees in the warehouse and documents any potential Safety hazards on a weekly audit of the facility. Must be able to operate the cranes, side loader, plasma, any equipment in the warehouse or know the procedures and processes to do so in a correct manner. Must be a team player with a great attitude, be able to break things down with a can-do approach and is not easily frustrated.
· Maintain and Update Safety Plans required by RSAC and OSHA
· Develop ideas, suggestions, programs, training, and exercises for increased safety awareness
· Must be able to work on weekends and be able to work on any shift if needed for training
· Teach Safety Observation Training Programs and Train on how to recognize Hazards in the Workplace
Will be required to attend OSHA 10 course, if not currently certified.
· Knowledge of EPA, NFPA, and ANSI regulations and standards
· Must be able to develop presentations and speak in front of large groups
