The Safety Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Safety teams across the Division. This role is responsible for coordinating reports, maintaining compliance documentation, managing communication between internal departments, and supporting divisional programs and events. The Safety Coordinator ensures consistent execution of key processes, assists with data tracking and reporting, and contributes to maintaining a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Compile and distribute quarterly safety and operational reports, tracking manhours and other key performance data.
- Assist with MSHA/OSHA documentation, including 300 logs, Legal ID changes, and other required reporting.
- Maintain DOT paperwork, testing records, and post-accident documentation; coordinate follow-up with clinics and safety staff as needed.
- Support completion of AIC entries and run reports for sites as requested.
- Maintain injury case management documentation, including workers’ compensation forms and follow-up records.
- Champion coordination of monthly safety and safety meetings, ensuring scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Schedule and coordinate annual hearing audiograms, van pass testing, and retesting.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to assist with new hire orientation logistics and PPE supply coordination.
- Organize and coordinate divisional events, safety milestone recognitions, and award submissions
- Maintain and organize divisional files and forms on the ShareFile system.
- Coordinate SOMA sampling data collection and reporting.
- Assist with scheduling safety-related training, annual refresher courses, and associated documentation.
- Support various business partners and the divisional leadership team with administrative projects, site visits, and audits as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative, safety, or operational support role (manufacturing, construction, or mining industry preferred).- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with ShareFile or similar systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
