The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Safety and Security Manager position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Serving as the chief liaison with outside agencies to include regulatory, law enforcement, and fire department; including special events coordination for regional participation of associated agencies related to security, safety and emergency management activities.
- Managing the programmatic areas for Safety, Security and Emergency Management to include staff, planning and prevention activities.
- Reviewing goals, objectives, policies and priorities related to Security to comply with the Department of Homeland Security critical infrastructure requirements and make recommendations.
- Working with management and staff requests for emergency response, safety concerns and safety training programs.
- Leading staff in adopting best practices and to identify trends in both Safety & Security to mitigate issues when identified trends are noted.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring strategic planning, goals and objectives; Overseeing the development and revision for policies, procedures, and administering the budget in coordination with these activities.

This position is an exempt management position and excluded from membership in the union.

- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Criminal Justice preferred, or other field related to the work.
- Five (5) years full-time experience at a major wastewater treatment facility, or in an industrial setting preferred.
- Two (2) years of full-time supervisory or management level experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.
- Possess a valid Nevada Class [C] driver's license at time of appointment.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.
- Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
