Rope Certified Journeyperson Pipefitter

Position Summary:

Tacten is currently hiring Rope Certified Journeyperson Pipefitters to support upcoming work at Shell Scotford in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our team, performing high-angle tasks with precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Assembly:

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings. + Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications. + Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment. + Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.

+ Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems. + Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance. + Replace defective or worn components as necessary.

+ Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations. + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

+ Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members. + Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered. + Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.
