Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, adhere to safety codes and standards, and utilize various power tools effectively. The Pipefitter will work on a variety of projects, ensuring that all piping systems are functional and meet the required specifications.
Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
•Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
•Utilize power tools for cutting, threading, and soldering pipes.
•Perform welding tasks as needed for pipe connections.
•Rig pipes and other materials as required for installation.
•Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
•Ensure compliance with all safety codes and standards during installation and maintenance activities.
•Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
•Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in pipefitting or related fields.
•Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing piping installations.
•Proficiency in using power tools, including pipe threaders, welders, and soldering equipment.
•Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
•Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
•Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials as needed.
•Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
