We are growing…and hiring! Rani Engineering is experiencing a period of growth and needs another strong leader. With your help, we are excited to expand the roadway design services we currently provide. We’d love to hear from civil engineering professionals who are looking for an opportunity to level up their career.
The primary duty of the Roadway Practice Lead is to manage and develop a team whose focus will be delivering projects for MnDOT as part of our Highway Market. Your focus will be on professional development, project execution, and the quality of your team's work within your practice.
Additionally, you will support other Rani Markets in Local Roads, Sites and Transit. The Roadway Practice Lead will continue to work as a project manager capable of pursuing and delivering complex transportation projects for MnDOT and other local agencies. Project involvement will range from leading feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
Experience should include urban and rural highway projects, site grading, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout, and CAD base alignment plans. Roadway design and permanent and temporary traffic control design experience is a key requirement for this position. Coordination of multi-discipline projects inclusive of survey, grading, drainage, structures, utilities, and layout of various site items is a requirement.
The position will collaborate with our Highway Market Lead in the preparation and negotiation of proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules. It will also include day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, supporting and advising junior engineers and technical staff, author reports and technical memos, coordinating with sub-consultants, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Experience with supervising the work of a staff of professionals and technicians is not required, but preferred. We view this role as an opportunity for an emerging leader.
If you are eager to work for a company that supports career growth and that respects employee values, this is the right opportunity for you!
