The Landscape Lead is responsible for providing and overseeing the crew laborer on their route and completing regularly scheduled landscape maintenance service within an established route daily to quality standards. They will work closely with Field supervisor to meet and exceed customer site expectations. Assist in training and educating Landscape crew laborers. Employees will be expected to perform all aspects of landscape maintenance and other services such as planting, leaf removal, hardscape, and winter services. An eye for detail is necessary. They must be reliable, responsible, and have a strong work ethic.
Job Duties:
•Assure that route is completed according to quality standards and determined timelines.
•Assures preventative maintenance is occurring on Trucks, Tools, and equipment assigned to their team.
•Plant/Tree maintenance to include pruning, trimming, deadheading.
•Turf Maintenance - Mowing, Edging, blowing.
•Outdoor watering techniques for plants
•Clearing of landscape and other debris from landscape beds, raking, manual, and mechanical weed control
•Knowledge of fertilizers and some herbicides
•General shrub and flower planting knowledge
•Apply pesticides and fertilizers as determined by management.
•Complete irrigation system turns on/offs
•Other Tasks as requested by management.

Differential Pay:
•Pesticide $1.00 per hour additional while completing pesticide work orders
•Irrigation $1.00 per hour additional while completing irrigation work orders

•Experience - Minimum of 1 year of experience in the groundskeeping/ landscape industries as a Lead or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
•Licenses – Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license within 6 months of hire.
•Driving – Must have a clean driving record and a current and valid Washington State Driver’s License, requires ability to obtain and retain a DOT Medical Card.
•Equipment - Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as all commercial landscape equipment.
•Language - The ability to read and interpret documents and use a handheld smartphone data device that provides information such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Dependability - Arrives to work consistently and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time, completes tasks on time or notifies a supervisor with an alternate plan.
