SCM Operations is a greenfield midstream company built to provide a full suite of midstream services and downstream solutions to producers in the Delaware Basin. SCM leverages fundamental and intra-basin knowledge to optimize the value of producer resources, reduce bottlenecks and deliver higher netbacks to the producer.
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the settlement processes around our Crude, Crude Marketing and Water Gathering businesses including working with producers, customers, and internal parties to provide the monthly invoicing, and journal entries associated with the settlements. This role is an important bridge between Commercial/Business Development and Financial Reporting.
- Review and interpret complex contracts and record monthly revenue accurately and completely per internally prescribed protocols.
- Calculate and document monthly volumetric allocations and production settlement statements in accordance with midstream service agreements.
- Investigate and verify accuracy of revenue contract pricing.
- Analyze monthly revenue and articulate variances between designated reporting periods and against the budget.
- Successfully coordinate with the Commercial, Operations, Scheduling and Contracts Administration teams to address and resolve customer queries.
- Compile and prepare a series of monthly volumetric settlements with variance analysis as assigned.
- Conduct timely reconciliations and accrual for monthly revenue balance sheet accounts.
- Produce accurate monthly inventory settlements and resolve identified discrepancies based on completed variance analysis.
- Prepare and book journal entries monthly for revenue, production, and all other remaining expenses.
- Participate in internal and external audit projects as assigned.
- Coordinate and produce financial results and supporting schedules as required by state and federal regulatory agencies.

- Document control processes and performance tasks over responsible areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration is preferred
- Entry level role 0-2 years’ experience.
- Ability to clearly explain settlement outcomes.
- Basic understanding of Oil and Gas preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically strong excel knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required.

- Prior knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Business Central a plus.
