Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires a strong understanding of retail management, particularly within a grocery store environment, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Duties
•
Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
•
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
•
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high standards of store presentation.
•
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and purchase inventory efficiently while adhering to budget constraints.
•
Monitor sales performance and assist in developing strategies to achieve sales goals.
•
Implement promotional activities and ensure proper merchandising of products throughout the store.
•
Maintain accurate administrative records related to inventory management, sales reports, and employee performance.
Skills
•
Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager within a grocery store setting.
•
Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers and vendors.
•
Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers regarding pricing and product availability.
•
Proficiency in budgeting practices to manage store expenses efficiently.
•
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for administrative tasks.
•
Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members towards achieving operational goals.
•
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
