Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and physically capable Land Restoration Labor Worker to join our environmental restoration team. This role involves hands-on labor to rehabilitate natural landscapes and ecosystems impacted by development, pollution, or natural events. The Land Restoration Labor Worker will work on projects such as erosion control, soil restoration, invasive species removal, and native vegetation planting. This is an ideal position for those passionate about environmental conservation and committed to making a positive impact on natural habitats.
Duties
•Assist in land restoration projects including soil preparation, planting, watering, mulching, and erosion control.
•Remove invasive plant species manually or with herbicides (where certified and applicable).
•Plant and care for native species to support habitat restoration and ecological balance.
•Install structures for erosion control, such as silt fences, berms, wattles, and check dams.
•Operate and maintain basic tools and equipment, such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, trimmers, and small machinery.
•Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, raking, and carrying heavy materials as required by the project.
•Monitor restoration areas for signs of pest infestation, plant health issues, and erosion, reporting findings to supervisors.
•Follow safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to environmental regulations.
•Work collaboratively with other crew members, project managers, and ecologists to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
•Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation preferred.
•High school diploma or equivalent; experience in environmental conservation, landscaping, or similar fields is a plus.
•Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform manual labor, and lift up to 50 lbs.
•Experience with hand tools and small machinery is preferred but not required.
•Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate project details clearly with supervisors.
•Willingness to adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
