- Ensure accurate 3D modeling, geostatistical processing, and development of various estimation parameters.
- Ensure delivery of a quality model in accordance with established standards.
- Geological Model and Mineral Resource or Reserve auditing.
- Participate in drafting technical studies (preliminary, pre-feasibility, and feasibility) and draft technical reports in compliance with NI 43-101 or other reporting codes.
- Provide pertinent geological information to technical services (mining engineering, infrastructure, environment, and metallurgy) and support them by addressing their questions.
- Provide mentorship and training to other Dahrouge geologists.
- Foster an environment of proactive mentorship, cooperation, and teamwork.
- Facilitate good communication and strong working relationships in diverse geological environments.
- Prepare and track budgets, complete projects within planned time frames and on budget.
- Occasionally participate in innovation projects or project assessments.
- Write comprehensive reports on a scheduled basis for senior management, regulatory agencies, project stakeholders, and third parties.
- 6 years experience, with a minimum 2 years focused on the evaluation and estimation of natural resources.
- Certificate or documented training in Geostatistics relevant to mineral estimations.
- Standard First Aid and CPR level C.
- Strong understanding of the deposit-related geological contexts, able to determine the resources available at a deposit and integrate the maximum amount of data to assist in model interpretation and construction.
- Detailed knowledge of domestic and international Mineral Resource and Reserve reporting codes.
- Expert constructing, interpreting, and auditing 3D geological models.
- Proficient in Seequent Leapfrog Geo and Edge; Maptek – Vulcan.
- Exposure to harsh weather, challenging terrain, and potential hazards like wildlife and adverse conditions.
- Geotechnical core logging requires lifting up to 60 lbs and sustained concentration
- Generally controlled, with occasional pressure, particularly around deadlines.
- Minimal hazards, but discomfort may arise from extended computer use.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols and PPE in the field.
- Hazard exposure varies by project and season, requiring adaptability.
- Clear communication is essential for safety and team support.
