Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Geologist with a strong background in the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, Pearsall Shale, or West Frio formations. This role will support a 135-well development program across a 50,000-acre position in South Texas.

The ideal candidate brings a hands-on understanding of regional stratigraphy, structure, and reservoir behavior, and is capable of delivering actionable subsurface interpretations in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide geological support for drilling, completions, and development operations across the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk.

- Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to optimize well placement and landing zones.

- Interpret well logs, cuttings, and core data to guide geosteering and drilling decisions.

- Generate structure and isopach maps, cross-sections, and geologic models.

- Participate in well planning and development strategy sessions for a 135-well program.

- Communicate geologic risk and opportunity clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

- Support acreage evaluation and reservoir continuity across the 50k-acre asset.

Qualifications

- Experience in South Texas with Eagle Ford and/or Austin Chalk is required.

- Experience with Pearsall Shale or West Frio is highly desirable.

- Available to start immediately.
