Reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Managing the desurveyed data information (extracted from Fusion);
- Managing and updating block models supporting the Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves (MRMR);
- Providing support to the mine site team (ex: macro needed, database support and other requests);
- Managing command, macro and script in Datamine;
- Training employees on Datamine software;
- Creating queries in SQL to be able to interact with the database (Fusion, Ore Controller);
- Assisting the mine geologists (OP or UG) in the implementation of new data processes;
- Assisting the resource geologist on tonnage and grade reports, including reconciliation analysis;
- Assisting geo-technician in improving various processes;
- Any other task requested by the supervisor.
- College Diploma in Mining Technology or any other training deemed relevant combined with 4-6 years of experience in resource estimation;
- Excellent working knowledge in informatics in general, and Datamine.
- Knowledge of Deswik, Leapfrog suites is considered an asset.
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC.
- Frequent visits to site are also required.
