Job Summary

The Residential Energy Auditor is responsible for conducting residential attic and crawl space inspections to evaluate existing insulation, air sealing conditions, ventilation, and overall energy efficiency. This role focuses solely on inspection and documentation. All findings, measurements, and photos are submitted to a dedicated design team that prepares a customized report for the homeowner. After completing the inspection, the inspector coordinates scheduling for a follow-up appointment between the homeowner and a company energy consultant to review the report and any recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct on-site residential attic inspections

- Evaluate insulation type, depth, coverage, and condition

- Identify air leakage points, including counting all recess lights connected to attic,

ventilation issues, moisture concerns, and visible damage

- Take accurate measurements, photos, and detailed notes during inspections

- Document all findings clearly and submit everything to the design team

- Ensure all required data is collected to support customized report creation

- Maintain consistent inspection standards and documentation procedures

- Communicate professionally with homeowners during the inspection process

- Schedule a follow-up appointment between the homeowner and a company

consultant after inspection completion

- Follow all safety procedures when working in attic environments

- Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and digital reporting systems

- No sales responsibilities

- No report writing or proposal creation

- No pricing or recommendation presentation to homeowners

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
