Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction management software, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.

Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed estimates.

•

Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.

•

Prepare and present detailed proposals and cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing.

•

Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

•

Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.

•

Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.

•

Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.

•

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.

•

Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

•

Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable contract terms.

•

Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred.

•

Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols is a plus.
