Job Responsibilities
· Project Evaluation: Assess project requirements and specifications to provide accurate cost estimates.
· Material and Labor Costs: Calculate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and any subcontracted work.
· Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for submission to clients.
· Vendor Relations: Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, contracts, bids, and projects.
· Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
· Risk Analysis: Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Job Performance Metrics
· Accuracy of Estimates: The precision of cost estimates compared to actual project costs.
· Bid Win Rate: The ratio of successful bids to the total number of bids submitted.
· Project Turnaround Time: The time taken to complete an estimate from the initial request.
· Cost Savings: Achieving cost reductions through effective negotiation and accurate cost forecasting.
· Client Satisfaction: Feedback from clients regarding the clarity and reliability of the estimates.
· Compliance: Ensuring all estimates comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
TECHNICIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 1 year of estimating experience or relevant experience
· Associate or bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
· Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specifications
· MS Office 365 proficient (Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.)
· Ability to Identify and respond to priorities
· Valid driver license WITH REAL ID – or can obtain within 30 days of hire
