Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimates.

Duties

•

Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

•

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

•

Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam to create detailed cost analyses.

•

Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimates.

•

Prepare and submit detailed proposals and bids for projects.

•

Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.

•

Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

•

Provide ongoing support during the project management phase to address any cost-related issues.

Requirements

•

Construction estimating experience3-6 years

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.

•

Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.

•

Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam.

•

Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

•

Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage relationships with clients and subcontractors.

•

Familiarity with cost control measures and project management methodologies.

•

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.

•

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Preferred:

•

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
