JGR Equipment Rental & Sales is a leading provider of rental equipment, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative.
Job Summary:
The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating truck dispatches for equipment deliveries and pickups while also handling incoming customer calls. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
•Dispatch Coordination: Schedule and dispatch trucks for equipment deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and efficient service.
•Customer Service: Answer incoming phone calls, address customer inquiries, provide pricing information, and resolve issues professionally.
•Order Management: Process rental orders, confirm availability of equipment, and update customers on order status.
•Communication: Liaise between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and coordination.
•Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dispatches, customer interactions, and equipment availability in company systems.
•Problem Solving: Handle unexpected issues, such as delivery delays or equipment concerns, with quick and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
•Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or a related role is preferred but not required.
•Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
•Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including experience with scheduling software, CRMs, Microsoft Office, and Wynne Systems
•Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, team members, and management.
•Problem-Solving: Quick thinker with the ability to handle challenges calmly and efficiently.
•Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or customer service are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
•Knowledge of the rental equipment or trucking industry.
•Familiarity with local geography and routes in the Upstate.
•Experience with multi-line phone systems.
