What You Will Do

- Support design, configuration, and implementation of SCADA systems for renewable energy power plants, considering specific project requirements, hardware compatibility, and industry standards.

- Interface with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and compliance of control system components.

- Support development of SCADA architecture, including network topology, communication protocols, data acquisition, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design.

- Maintain documentation and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Liaison with Enbridge’s Power TIS project delivery team responsible for SCADA integration.

- Integrate SCADA systems with renewable energy assets, including inverters, turbines, sensors, and other control devices.

- Support commissioning team’s testing and validation to ensure proper functionality, data accuracy, and system reliability.

Who You Are

- Preferred Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Diploma will be considered with an additional 3 years of work experience.

- Previous experience (6+ years) in SCADA system design, development, and implementation, preferably in the renewable energy sector.

- Proficiency in SCADA software platforms (e.g., SGRE WinCC, WPS, WindNet, GE iFIX, Schneider Electric ClearSCADA, Ignition, AVEVA Historian, SEL RTAC).

- Strong knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, SQL, and TCP/IP.

- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar PV, wind turbines, and battery storage.

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work in multidisciplinary teams.

- Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

- Office environment.

- Up to 10% of travel.
