Duties & Responsibilities
•Lead initiatives to enhance the reliability and maintainability of plant equipment.
•Develop and implement engineering solutions to address chronic and recurring equipment failures.
•Support and conduct root cause failure analyses, driving the implementation of corrective actions.
•Collaborate with Production teams to analyze key asset performance indicators, including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), remaining useful life (RUL), and cost and reliability metrics.
•Support the development and rollout of condition-based monitoring (CBM) programs.
•Contribute to the design and refinement of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
•Work closely with the Maintenance team to align reliability initiatives with maintenance execution.
•Provide technical input into long-term maintenance planning and reliability improvement initiatives.
•Deliver engineering support for minor capital projects and performance enhancement initiatives.
•Lead or contribute to small project execution focused on improving equipment reliability.
•Prepare detailed reports, trend analyses, and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Utilize CMMS systems to support accurate data entry, asset history tracking, and reporting.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
•Mechanical Engineering degree or Mechanical Technologist diploma.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a process plant, mill, or industrial maintenance environment.
•Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is considered an asset.
Technical Competencies & Skills
•Ability to adhere to the assigned work schedule, which would be 5x2 (Monday- Friday).
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
•Ability to interpret equipment data and generate actionable insights.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
•Must be able to communicate in English.
•Proven safety and attendance record.
•Willingness and ambition to learn, self starter, ability to work in a team and independently prioritizing multiple projects.
•Ability and willingness to work in all changing weather conditions on the mine site.
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
Wage and Benefits
Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Reliability Specialist role, we offer an annual base salary range of $96,000.00 - $120,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
