Global Analyzer Systems is the premier emissions monitoring service provider in Western Canada. We build, install, and maintain continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), with a full range of regulatory consulting services to help manage and ensure compliance for facilities in a variety of industries. Additionally, Global continues to be a leader in air monitoring through audits and evaluations, helping to drive facility adherence to provincial and federal regulations.
We have an open position for a full-time, professional and independent individual to join our Regulatory Compliance department. The ideal candidate is personable, a team player, and passionate about being a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues. The right candidate will be able to travel regularly, auditing client facilities throughout the year, while providing training and support to clients faced with regulatory questions or challenges.
Reporting to the Regulatory Manager, the key responsibilities of this position include:
· Perform annual Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) audits based on the requirements of the Alberta CEMS Code, for clients throughout Alberta.
· Perform audits based on the Alberta Air Monitoring Directive (AMD) for clients throughout Alberta.
· Perform Annual PG/7 Audits for CEMS clients outside of Alberta, as required.
· Assist in providing on-site regulatory training to clients, as required.
· Assist in the provision of internal regulatory training to help support team growth and development.
· Assist (where needed) in supporting the quality control of client documentation and reports.
· Provide internal training on systems, processes and/or programs as required.
· Complete job sheets, time sheets, and expense reports as required.
· Such other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned from time to time by the Employer.
Our auditors provide world-class expertise in the areas of air monitoring and regulatory compliance and must be able to represent themselves and the company as top-level trusted advisors to our valued clients.
For this position, we require at a minimum:
· BSc. or related education/background in environmental monitoring, specifically emissions monitoring.
· 5+ years’ experience in air emissions monitoring regulations and/or systems, with expertise in continuous emissions monitoring regulations in North America.
· Preferred candidates have Stack testing experience in the Alberta Stack Sampling Code, BC Field Sampling Manual, US EPA or other relevant regulations.
· Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
· Experience in building, maintaining and strengthening client relationships through proactive communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues effectively.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel.
· Be unafraid of heights (able to climb a ladder up to 150 feet as required).
· This position requires around 80% travel throughout Alberta, BC, and Ontario during the peak season, from September through December, and about 20% travel during non-peak periods.
· Have a background in emissions monitoring, environmental regulations, and/or auditing processes.
· Possess a good understanding and knowledge of how to use a personal computer, including MS Office Suite, email, and web-based programs.
