Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions seeks a Regional Technical Operations Manager

to join the team. The Regional Technical Operations Manager provides technical support for formulation, troubleshooting, QA/QC, and system facilitation across Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions' East Coast facilities. This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate should be located on the East Coast between Virginia and Georgia.

Job Education & Qualifications

•

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related field is preferred

•

Significant asphalt technology experience could be considered in lieu of a technical degree

•

Minimum 2 years of experience required with a bachelor's degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required with no degree

•

Excelled in management, communication, and computer skills in MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel

•

Must be willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•

Provide timely technical support and communication to Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions in the areas of formulation support, troubleshooting issues, product QA/QC, and facilitation of those systems

•

Work to facilitate operational consistency with assets and operational procedures throughout the overall plant network

•

Manage the formulation process and activities, including optimizing plant efficiency and raw material costs

•

Oversee the Quality Management system to ensure compliance with PPM and Agency Plan requirements

•

Work with Sales and Technical Marketing to provide feedback on the field performance of all products and applications

•

Work with supply and procurement in the evaluation and selection of all raw materials in the facilities

•

Establish new technological processes to benchmark assets, chemistry, and raw materials available to the market from inside and outside of the asphalt industry

•

Ensure facilities are fully supported through routine interaction with operations, marketing, and technical marketing in the region

•

Partner with local labs and Engineering departments to drive new products and technologies from concept through commercialization

•

Manage the process to deploy plant assets/ chemistry/ etc. to deliver technologies.

•

Responsible for the scale-up of the process from lab to plant production

•

Participate in product and process evaluation, development, and execution of strategic technology initiatives

•

Participate in the development, presentation, and implementation of new ideas, concepts, assets, chemistries, etc. for A&E management to consider
