We are seeking a seasoned Regional HSE Manager
to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the NAM region. This role is pivotal in driving the implementation of the HVDC HSE strategy, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage project and site HSE teams across the NAM region.
- Champion the HVDC HSE strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Act as the primary HSE liaison between regional and global leadership.
- Collaborate with other Regional HSE Managers to ensure consistency in HSE practices.
- Define and implement the regional HSE structure, allocating resources to support projects.
- Provide strategic HSE guidance during project reviews and across operational phases.
- Integrate HSE considerations into project planning, execution, and handover.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, driving actionable improvements.
- Support business development by contributing HSE expertise during tenders and proposals.
- Oversee incident management, including classification, investigation, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Develop and deliver region-specific HSE training programs.
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and manage related legal matters.
- Manage the regional HSE department budget, including training, travel, and workshops.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a complex, matrix-based organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder influence skills.
- Proven ability to manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Experience in developing and implementing impactful HSE strategies.
- Commercial awareness and client-facing experience.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); French fluency is a strong asset.
