We are seeking an experienced Corporate Safety Manager to oversee our HSE programs at the corporate level, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety across our operations. Based in Fort Worth, this role will play a key part in mitigating risks in high-stakes environments, particularly within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in oilfield HSE practices and a strong understanding of DOT regulations to support our growing team.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to energy and utility operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards for transportation and fleet management.
- Collaborate with operations teams to integrate safety protocols into daily workflows, with a focus on oilfield-related activities such as drilling support, pipeline maintenance, and LNG project oversight.
- Lead emergency response planning, including drills and coordination with external agencies.
- Analyze safety data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, reporting findings to senior leadership.
- Provide guidance on environmental sustainability efforts, including waste management and emissions control.
- Mentor and train field personnel on best practices for hazard recognition and prevention.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address potential compliance issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HSE roles within the oilfield or energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of oilfield HSE standards, including hazard identification, PPE requirements, and safe work practices in upstream and midstream operations.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including OSHA 1910/1926 and relevant API standards.
- Proven track record in incident management, root cause analysis, and safety program development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to field sites as needed.
- Experience with DOT compliance, including FMCSA regulations for commercial motor vehicles, hazardous materials transportation, and driver qualification standards.
- Background in utility or LNG projects, with familiarity in industrial maintenance safety.
- Advanced certifications such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or similar.
- Experience in a corporate-level role overseeing multi-site operations.
