Refining Chemist II Job Summary:
Marathon Petroleum Los Angeles Refinery, located in Carson, CA, is seeking a n experienced Chemist. Our Chemist will provide technical support to ensure laboratory complies with ASTM D6299 laboratory quality control requirements such as, but not limited to, monitoring statistical quality control (SQC) charts, investigating statistical deviations in control data, determination of SQC samples, and validation of instrumentation. The hours of the position are flexible they can be: 5 days/8 hours
OR4 days onsite/1 day remote
OR9/80's. This position will support on-call 24/7 to answer questions remotely typically happening two times a month. This specific position will not work additional full shifts to support Turnarounds.
