Entry Level Chemist

Open position for an entry level bench chemist: Responsibilities will include performing a variety of analysis’ on water samples, writing reports/maintaining laboratory notes, performing QC analysis’ on products, calculating data, developing SOP’s/test procedures for laboratory, assisting with product development, perform routine instrument maintenance and ability to operate fork truck, among other tasks.

Experience/Skills: Candidate will need a B.S. degree in Chemistry or similar program from an accredited university with coursework in analytical chemistry and analytical instrumentation. Experience with or ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, ICP-MS, , LC-MS, X-ray Diffraction,, FTIR, wet chemistry techniques (titrations, etc.) and instrument specific data systems. Experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred. Additionally, candidate will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with EPA Chapter 252 is recommended.
