Salary range: $19-$24 per hour, depending on experience
Summary: RMS Cranes & Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant who will perform a variety of routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties. Responsibilities include answering telephones, receiving and assisting visitors, providing customer service, processing data, and maintaining records.
Essential Functions:
•Greet clients and employees in a polite and professional manner.
•Answer and direct calls using the central telephone system.
•Receive and distribute mail and packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
•Assist with shipping and receiving processes.
•Respond to inquiries in person and via telephone, directing them to the appropriate party as needed.
•Operate standard office equipment (e.g., copier, fax, postage machine).
•Compose, type, and proofread correspondence, reports, and memos.
•Duplicate and distribute internal documents and communications.
•Maintain office forms, procedures, and filing systems.
•Manage and organize office supply inventory, including ordering supplies.
•Assist employees and the public with use of department facilities.
•Process new customer credit applications, verify references, and enter customer data into the system.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to handle a high volume of incoming phone calls.
•Proficient in prioritizing tasks, organizing workload, and meeting deadlines.
•Typing proficiency of at least 45 words per minute.
•Ability to write and interpret reports in English.
Physical Requirements:
•Light physical activity, including bending, stooping, lifting (up to 20 lbs.), standing, sitting, and walking.
•Adequate vision for reading, typing, and data entry.
•Adequate hearing for telephone and face-to-face communications.
•Occasional crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office setting preferred.
