- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years related work experience.
- Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.
- Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
Under general supervision, performs professional, administrative, and management duties of a varied nature. Perform duties associated with property rights including easement acquisitions, amendments, dispositions, license agreements, letters of authorization, plan review related activities, permits, lease management, and pertinent research. Position determines solutions to practical problems using specified professional standards and established criteria. Judgment is used to select and apply existing guidelines to solve problems and accomplish assignments.
- Perform duties associated with property rights, overall operations and maintenance of assigned properties including commercial, residential, recreational, and ranching properties.
- Perform maintenance and repairs as needed and/or manage maintenance and repair contracts. Manage all contracts related to leased properties.
- Grant and acquire temporary or permanent property rights and acquire property rights for Board installations and use on external properties.
- Conduct plan review on proposed right-of-way and construction plans.
- Create contract documents and leases, ensuring that they follow federal, state, and local laws, and Denver Water rules, standards, and guidelines.
- Perform all duties associated with leasing properties and maintain positive relationships with lessees.
- Acquire and amend existing easements. Negotiate special provisions and adjust easement language. Examine titles and title policies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on findings. Assist in implementing procedural or policy changes and explaining justification.
- Perform property inspections and maintain reports on leased properties.
- Assist in the administration of various property related programs, interpreting guidelines, serving as liaison between sections, providing training, guidance, and direction.
- Review and maintain expenditures, assemble data for budget preparation, and coordinate the production of monthly reports.
- Perform related work as required.
