Quality Technician
Job Summary
Performs a variety of quality checks and tests on units, materials or products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
Job Duties
- Perform inspections of finished or in-process goods to ensure work instructions are met and rework or reject as required
- Use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments
- Complete first piece inspection if needed (i.e., checks that items produced pass quality control requirements)
- Record statistical data and input data entry
- Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists
- Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards
- Perform audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained
- Escalate issues when needed
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform work under general supervision
- Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
- 2 to 4 years of experience
