Quality Technician

At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a Quality Control Technician. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Quality Technician Responsibilities

- Perform laboratory tests to acquire product and material data for analysis

- Provide accept/reject qualifications based on test results

- Maintain records of all testing procedures and results

- Participate in Quality Audits

- Assist with RCA & Corrective Action identification/implementation

- Identify and pursue Quality Improvement projects/activities

- Analyze Quality data for process control

- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Requirements:

- Ability to apply statistical methods and SPC

- Ability to use computer software to analyze data (Excel or Minitab)

- Mathematical aptitude and organization

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Desirable Skills/Training

- Quality Technician Certification

- Experience operating lab equipment

- ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- 2-3 years' experience with quality control systems
