Morris Bean & Company is a technologically innovative aluminum foundry established in 1946. Originally starting as a part of Antioch College we have grown over the years to our current 185,000-square foot facility on 60 acres in Yellow Springs, Ohio. We utilize gravity and low-pressure casting processes to cast aluminum alloys in the 300 series. Molding methods include Antioch plaster, Air-set sand, and cold-box sand in combination with permanent and semi-permanent molds. We have proudly served industry in air and gas separation, commercial refrigeration, diesel locomotives, medical equipment, pump components, and energy and military applications.
We have an immediate need for a Level II Radiographer who meets the minimum requirements of an NDT Level II RT per SNT-TC-1A
Responsibilities/Duties:
•Perform radiography of castings per customer specs or internal requirements
•Interpret radiographs and accept or reject castings per customer specifications
•Mark up castings to show type and location of defects identified on film
•Develop radiographic techniques to meet quality specifications of new work or modifications of existing work
•Process and develop radiographic film
•Set up castings for radiography with appropriate identification, location, and penetrameters
•Load and unload castings into and out of shooting cell using overhead crane and casting carts
Requirements/Qualifications:
•Meet minimum requirements of NDT Level II RT per SNT-TC-1A
•State or IRRSP card required
•Completion of 40-hour Radiation Safety Course required
