Job Title: Quality Technician - C Shift
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Pay Grade: Grade 3
Essential Functions:•Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing appropriate safety equipment (i.e., glasses, steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, etc.), following safe work practices and operating equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies and procedures.
•Completes required testing at final audit station by testing the appropriate number of samples per container, conducting Brinell or sonic testing and preparing labels and affixing to container.
•Visually inspects castings at final audit looking for defects and noting variances from visual criteria.
•Enforce quality alerts by communicating, monitoring and ensuring compliance by production team members.
•Place non-conformance tags on bins being put on HOLD.
•Completes forms, logs and other documentation to record quality process results.
•Performs minor upkeep/maintenance on testing machines/equipment.
•Validates the calibration of equipment/machines within standards.
•Keeps work area clean by performing various housekeeping activities.
Experience Required
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Education, Training & Skills
Successful completion of the RDI Team Member Selection System.
Work Schedule/Job Rotation/Breaks: 12-hour shifts, mandatory overtime. Three 15 minute breaks per shift.
Work Environment: Must be able to work in a noisy, dusty environment. Must be comfortable working around moving machinery.
