Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. In this position you will work cross functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support our quality management system to support our team who build pumps that are used worldwide which people depend on for water, sanitation, food, oil, and so much more! This is an associate level position with on-the-job training provided and it is the first step within your career at Wanner Engineering!

What you’ll do:

+ Evaluate and manage the disposition of rejected materials to ensure compliance with quality standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of rejection and implement corrective actions. + Maintain accurate records of rejected materials and associated actions taken. + Facilitate MRB meetings to review and analyze non-conforming products or materials. + Work closely with production and engineering teams to determine appropriate dispositions for non-conforming items. + Document MRB decisions and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. + Perform and oversee equipment and tool calibration activities to maintain accuracy and reliability. + Develop and maintain a calibration schedule for all relevant tools and equipment. + Ensure compliance with calibration standards and documentation requirements. + Conduct product inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards. + Collaborate with production teams to address and rectify any identified quality issues. + Utilize inspection tools and equipment to ensure precision and accuracy. + Coordinate and conduct First Article Inspections to validate manufacturing processes. + Review supplier FAI reports to ensure conformance to requirements. + Work with engineering teams to address any discrepancies identified during FAI. + Facilitate the preparation and submission of PPAP documentation. + Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate PPAP submissions. + Maintain records of PPAP documentation and approvals.
