Under close supervision, conducts internal quality controls to ensure established quality procedures and norms are followed. Conducts routine quality analysis and tests/inspections of a quality control program, where duties and tasks are standardized. Monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Prepares standard quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes. Records and analyzes customer claims. Learning role with 1-2 years of experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, coating , or aesthetic characteristics.

Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures as required.

Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

Audit supplier quality to specifications and quality plan and maintain records.

Audit outbound , inbound and interdepartmental shipments for conformance to standard , specifications and quality plan , isolate defective material recommend corrective action and material disposition .

Maintain gage and tooling control , accuracy and calibration within calibration policy and procedures .

Audit process areas for quality of workmanship , specification conformance and adherence to the quality plan .

Assist QA supervisor , QA engineer , QA analyst and production departments as required to ensure continuity of efficient operations , ISO 9000 registration and continuous quality improvement .
