Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead our Quality Department. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for exceptional product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the VP of Engineering & Technical Sales, this role currently oversees a dedicated team of two Quality Inspectors and a Quality Administrative Assistant while managing the systems, processes, and culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Product Integrity
•Oversee inspection processes to ensure products meet rigorous internal, industry, and customer specifications.
•Evaluate product quality at all stages of production and implement corrective and preventative actions.
•Manage and continually improve our Business Management System (BMS) in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
•Maintain ISO certification by ensuring compliance and readiness for internal and external audits, including customer audits.
•Ensure accurate preparation, control, and retention of all quality and safety related documentation and records.
Equipment & Process Improvement•Manage and utilize a wide range of advanced quality control equipment, including those used for:
•Dimensional Inspection, Destructive Testing, Hardness Testing, Functional Testing, Accelerated Corrosion Testing, Material Testing, and more.
•Oversee the preparation and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation to meet customer requirements.
•Lead Root Cause Analysis activities and facilitate Corrective Actions whenever necessary (customer, product, service, process, accidents, and any other issues)
Safety Leadership
•Play a key leadership role in the company’s Safety Committee — promoting a safe work environment, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local health & safety regulations.
•Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
Skills & Competencies
•Product knowledge of fastening systems and quality testing methods.
•Experience with INxSQL ERP system or similar platforms.
•Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, and drawings.
•Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
•Ability to manage, coach, and develop team members.
Education & Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
•ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
•OSHA 30-Hours or similar, safety certifications highly desirable.
•4+ years of experience managing a Quality Department in a manufacturing or production environment.
•Experience preparing for and managing both internal and external quality audits.
